Terms of Service

Last updated · August 4, 2026

01Agreement

These Terms govern your use of Bori at bori.life. By using the service or buying Paws you accept them, and you accept our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Bori.

02What Bori is

Bori is an AI companion that computes your Korean saju — a birth chart derived from the date, time, and place you were born — and talks with you about it. Everything Bori says is generated by software. There is no human reader, no live session, and no spiritual or religious advisor involved, and nothing Bori says has been reviewed by a professional before you see it.

03Age

  • You must be at least 13 to use Bori for yourself. If the birth date you enter shows you are younger, we stop before computing anything and keep nothing.
  • You must be at least 18 to buy Paws. Checkout is blocked otherwise.
  • Adding a profile for someone else — your child, a partner, a friend — is allowed regardless of that person's age, because they are not using the service: you are looking up a chart and the entry lives in your account. By adding it you confirm you are entitled to provide their birth details.

If you are a minor of at least 13, use Bori only with the involvement of a parent or guardian where your local law requires it.

04Your account

You sign in with Google or with a magic link sent to your email, so whoever controls that inbox controls the account — keep it secure and tell us if you lose control of it. One person, one account. You are responsible for what happens under yours.

You can delete your account and its data yourself at any time from My → Danger zone. Deletion is immediate and permanent, and any unspent Paws are forfeited.

05Paws credits

  • What they are — Paws are prepaid credits that pay for conversations with Bori and for readings, on top of the free messages included each day. They are a license to use features of this service. They are not money, not a stored-value instrument, not transferable, and have no cash value outside Bori.
  • Two kinds — paid Paws are the ones you bought; bonus Paws are extra Paws included with a package. Your balance shows both, and your ledger records every grant and spend.
  • Bonus is always spent first. When something costs Paws we draw down bonus Paws before touching paid ones, so your paid balance is the last to be used.
  • Expiry — Paws do not expire.
  • If we fail, you get them back. If a reading or a reply fails on our side, the Paws it consumed are automatically returned to your balance and a reversal appears in your ledger. You do not have to ask.
  • We may change prices, package contents, and the free daily allowance going forward. Changes never take away Paws already in your balance.

06Payment, prices, and tax

Purchases are processed by Dodo Payments, which acts as the Merchant of Record and is your counterparty for the transaction. Prices are shown in US dollars. The total you pay — including any tax that applies to your billing location — is shown at checkout before you confirm. Card details are handled by Dodo Payments — we never receive them.

07Immediate delivery and the EU/UK right of withdrawal

Paws are digital content delivered instantly. Before you can buy, you must tick the box that reads "I agree my Paws are delivered immediately and I waive the 14-day withdrawal right." By ticking it you expressly ask us to begin supplying the digital content at once and acknowledge that, once it is supplied, you lose the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal that EU and UK consumers otherwise have for distance purchases.

That waiver is about the statutory right. It does not remove the refund we offer voluntarily on top of it — see Section 8 and our Refund policy.

08Refunds

Our policy, in the same words shown at checkout: Used Paws are final. Unused paid Paws are refundable within 14 days — just ask.

Paws you have already spent are not refundable, and bonus Paws have no cash value and are not refundable. Because bonus Paws are always spent first, your paid balance is what remains longest. The full procedure, including how to ask and how long it takes, is in our Refund policy.

09Entertainment only

Bori is for entertainment and self-reflection. Not medical, legal, or financial advice.

Bori does not predict events, diagnose conditions, or tell you what will happen. Readings are generated by an AI model and can be wrong, inconsistent, or simply invented. Nothing Bori says is professional advice of any kind — medical, psychological, legal, financial, or otherwise — and you should not rely on it for any decision that calls for professional judgment. If you are in crisis or need care, contact a qualified professional or your local emergency service.

10Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use another person's account, or create accounts to reset free allowances or bonus grants;
  • scrape, automate, or reverse-engineer the service, or try to extract our prompts or models;
  • attempt to obtain Paws or readings without paying for them, or interfere with billing;
  • submit someone's personal details that you have no right to provide;
  • use Bori to harass, defraud, or harm anyone, or resell its output as a professional service;
  • overload or probe our infrastructure or security controls.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that do these things, without refund of Paws already spent.

11Intellectual property

Bori, its content, software, design, and character belong to us. Readings generated for you are yours to keep and use personally; the underlying prompts, templates, and system remain ours. Do not resell or publish generated content as a commercial product.

12Availability and changes

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, and we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any reading is accurate, complete, or fit for a particular purpose. If we discontinue the service entirely we will give reasonable advance notice, so that you can spend your remaining Paws or ask for a refund of the unused paid ones under Section 8.

13Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any decision you make based on a reading. Our total liability arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

14Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and disputes are subject to the courts of the Republic of Korea — without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection rights of your country of residence, which remain available to you.

15Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date, and continued use after that constitutes acceptance. If you do not accept a change, stop using Bori and delete your account.
